I work privately on an hourly basis as an editor and as a mentor or writing coach, mostly through the Internet or in my home.  I help with editing, preparing a manuscript, recharging. I can also help get you set up and launched.

Of the students who have gone on working with me, a number have had pieces published in magazines and newspapers.  Several have appeared in story anthologies or have self-published books.  Longtime student Margaret Norquay’s first book, Broad is the Way, was published by Wilfred Laurier University Press in 2007, when Margaret was 86.

Once a month during the summer, I run “Write in the Garden” workshops, one day intense write-on-the-spot gatherings in my long and lush backyard.
